Mothers Day Weekend

I had a great Mothers Day this year and it wasn't just a day this year it was the whole weekend...
Sunday evening we went with my parents and walked around the Provo Temple. The flowers there are so pretty!! Hayden loved running around.
.
Carson enjoyed himself too.

We are happier than we look, I promise. :)
This is Hayden eating dinner....
this is Hayden eating dessert!!!

Colin and my dad whipped up some amazing steaks!!

Enjoying the sunny day!
Friday night me and my friends from high school had our annual Girls Retreat. We went out to eat at a Thai restaurant in Provo called The Thai Kitchen. The food was NOT good, so if you are in the area avoid that place.
Because of my current circumstance with Carson, we weren't able to go anywhere far away, so we just got a hotel room at the Provo Marriot. After dinner we just went back to our hotel and talked until one in the morning. One of these years we will not have small babies that need their moms and we are going to go on a "real" retreat!! Right girls??
Saturday we had a BBQ at Natauni's with husbands/boyfriends and kids. It was a lot of fun!!

Thanks Sandi!

A couple of weeks ago we my Sister-in-law ran a half marathon up at Thanksgiving Point, so we all went up to cheer her on. She did great and I actually was a little inspired to run one myself, I don;t know if it will ever happen, but at least I had/have the desire. The best thing about it was for running she got free tickets to all of the Thanksgiving Point activities. So we did the farm country, Dino museum and Tulip festival...all for free!!! It was a very fun and very tiring day!! Thanks for running Sandi, I can't wait until next year! :)

Picture Update

A couple of weeks ago we headed South to hang out with Denim, Sandi and Family. Hayden loved riding the four wheeler with her Dad.
I thought she looked so cute riding Crosby's four wheeler with her princess dress on.
Cute kids watching a movie.
Easter Egg hunt.
"What are you looking at?"
One of the first warm days of the year.

Carson's Blessing Day

On March 14th Carson was blessed by his Dad in Springville Utah. We had all of our family there to support little Carson, minus Mindy & family and Shelly & family. To celebrate we had a little brunch before church, it was a great day!!

Hayden was sure to let everyone know as soon as they walked into the house that she looked "Pretty" in her dress!!
Happy little boy.

The day of his blessing I started to notice he had a little cough and congestion, but I didn't really think it sounded too bad, but hearing so much RSV and how serious it can be for babies I decided to call the doctor. They said to just bring him in to be on the safe side. I took him in and sure enough she could hear fluid in his lungs, so they sent us to the hospital to get the RSV test and x-rays to check for pneumonia. He tested positive for both!! I was pretty much a wreck! The good news was neither were bad enough to keep him at the hospital, so we took him home and the first thing we did was give him a priesthood blessing. I know that blessing helped him and I know it helped me feel more at peace. That night we also got a nebulizer and started pumping him full of medicine and attempted to give him antibiotics, but he was not having that. So we had to take him back to the doctors to get a shot of antibiotics and then we learned that he had double ear infections. Poor little man was such a trooper though the whole process...he handled it all so well, he still slept really well, pretty much ate fine and was happy. I only took a day for the anitbiotics to kick in and clear up the ear infections and a less than a week later he was totally better!!

Of course a few days later Hayden got a really bad cold and a few days after that Colin got it. Now they are all better and I have yet to get sick!! (knock on wood). I am so ready for SPRING!!!!!!!!!!

Other exciting news...they started on the foundation of our house. Which means in about a month we will have a new house!!!!

Finally!!

So about a month ago I had the chance to get together with a few of my friends from Blanding. We just got lunch and sat around and talked for a couple of hours. Well during the course of the conversation we talked about houses because Annelise just moved into a new house and Natauni was in the process of buying one. I just kept saying that is was going to be quite a while before we got into a house because of a lot of different things going on. Anyway on the way home I got to thinking that with the $8000 tax credit for first time home buyers we could put some of that money toward debt and then we could have a HOUSE and be DEBT FREE!!! I immediately approached Colin with the idea and I was surprised he took me seriously. To make a long story short this last month has brought A LOT of blessings and a lot has happened that has made it possible for us to buy a house. So as of yesterday we are officially home owners!!!! We signed all the paper work and now will just be waiting anxiously to move in. It is a new home and they will probably start building in the next couple of weeks and then it takes about 45 days to complete. So we are hoping to be in the beginning of May. We are very excited and really feel so blessed to be able to do this!!

This is a picture of the house, the only difference is our porch is smaller. :(

Birthday Boy!!

Colin's birthday was this past Thursday. We celebrated by going out to eat at Art City Trolley and having cake (we know how to party!!) Hayden LOVES birthdays and was very excited to sing Happy Birthday and eat the cake (even though it didn't taste good.) Colin has one more year to enjoy his twenties and then he is officially an old man! :)
