Colin and I (mostly Colin) made these cupcakes for his sister Tiffany's birthday. I think it turned out really cool.

Carson
He really isn't smiling here, but is looks just like his smile.
I have a spare few minutes so I thought I would give a quick update on life around here. We are all adjusting very well to having a new baby in the house. My recovery this time around was MUCH easier and quicker. I feel like I am totally back to normal and am really enjoying having a newborn. Carson is a sweet little guy who is happy and content the majority of the time, but he defiantly lets you know if he does not like something. He has a serious cry that I am sure wakes up the neighbors, but luckily he doesn't use it that much. He started smiling at about 2 1/2 weeks and his first real smile was at Hayden. I can not get him to smile quite a few times a day. He loves to eat and I can see his scrawny little legs bulking up a bit. It will be interesting to see if he gets as chubby as his sister!!
Speaking of sister, Hayden is doing great and is really good with him. Last week we had kind of a hard time adjusting to the new baby, but this week she has been her old happy, sweet self. I honestly think she is the easiest two year old ever!! Last night she was helping us give him a bath and we didn't realize she was standing right in the line of fire, so before we know Carson is giving her a shower of her own. It was perfectly aimed for her face and none of us responded very quickly so she was pretty wet. She handled it well and just laughed with us.
Here is a quick recap of Carson's birth story. It really is not too exciting which is great!! I went in on Tuesday at about 7:00am for my scheduled induction. I had been dilated to a 1 for the past couple of weeks and still was, so they got me going on pitosum around 8:30am. Around 1:00 my doctor came in and broke my water, which was like niagra falls....seriously there was soooooooo much water. The nurse said she had never seen that much water!!
Anyway I soon started to feel contractions and about an hour into them I asked for the epidural. I was not nearly as scared this time to get the epidural and didnt even realize when he was done, I was sitting there waiting for it to hurt and then he was done.
Over the next few hours I progressed really slowly and thought for sure I wouldn't have him until early the next morning. Around 5:00pm I was at a 4, so I told my mom she could go home and eat dinner and I would call her when I was further along. So she left and about 6:00 the nurse came in and checked me and I was at a 10!!! So we quickly called my mom and Colins mom and about 5 minutes after they got the the doctor came and said it was time. I was REALLY nervous about pushing and was scared that they would make me turn down the epidural because I couldnt feel the pressure to push , but my doctor just told me she would tell me when to push. So three contractions later my sweet little boy entered the world. This labor and delivery was like night and day compared to Hayden. It was a great experience and I defiantly could do it again.
Sorry if there are a ton of mistakes, I have two crying kids and no time to edit!!

Sorry for the wait!!
Ok, so finally here are some pictures of our new little addition and Christmas. They really are in no order, sorry!!
Carson Charles Gibbons-December 29, 2009 @ 7:21pm-8lbs 4ozHayden loves her new baby brother! I dont think the love is reciprocated yet.
Just a couple of minutes old and already wanted to eat. He is a very good eater!!
He doesn't look anything like Hayden did when she was a new born. Most everyone has said he looks like a Lyman, but I think it is too early to tell. This labor was sooooooooooo much easier than with Hayden. I never believed people when they said their labor wasn't that bad, but now I understand.
Christmas TimeAll the grand kids playing Rummi Cube with Grandpa and Granny Jo.
The girls (minus the big pregnant one) making Christmas breakfast.
Heading up to see what Santa brought.
One of the faves.
Her new Dora Scooter from Grandma and Grandpa Gibbons.
Waiting to go upstairs. Crosby will be so happy to have Carson next year! :)
The loot!!
Hayden dressing up like Mary.
Lyman Family Christmas PartyHer favorite part of the whole night was her bag with candy from the pinata.
She didn't leave one piece of candy on the floor.
A little nervous next to Santa, but overall she did very well with him. She even gave him a hug and by hug I mean her Dad threw her on him, but she didn't cry so we will count it. :)
You cant see the tears, but she was a little startled when santa came running in.
