Friday evening me, Colin, Hayden and my parents headed down to Cedar City to spend Easter with the fam. It was quite the struggle to get out of town due to a really bad accident on the freeway, but we finally made it there around 9:00pm.
Saturday was a little overcast and stormy so we went down to St. George and met up with Chris and my cousins and their kids. We picnicked at the park and the kids were able to hunt for Easter eggs. We had practiced hunting for eggs with Hayden so she was a pro and ended up with about five eggs!! Saturday night we dyed eggs and the adults (mainly Denim) got into it way more into than the kids. We had contest to see who could dye the best egg; my Dad was the judge and with a couple of hints Brooklyn, Ava and Denim ended up being the winners.
Sunday we went to church, had a wonderful ham dinner and packed up and headed home. Thanks Denim and Sandi for hosting us, we always love staying with you guys.Anxiously waiting to start the hunt!!
"Where are all the eggs?"
Hayden looking very excited to find what the Eater Bunny brought.
All dressed and ready for church.

Little Miss Smarty Pants
Hayden is getting really good at playing on her own when I am busy. Most of the time she prefers to look at books instead of play with her toys. She has been "reading" out loud to herself for the past few months and I today I was able to get her reading Jerry Seinfeld's Halloween book. It might be a little boring for you to watch, but towards the end she kisses the Superman mask...so cute!!!!!

Hayden's new love
So I got this book of Mother Goose rhymes at the library a week ago. Hayden has become completely obsessed and infatuated with "The Muffin Man." The first day she had me sing the song over and over and over again, so I just thought she really liked the song, but turns out she is more into the old man!! When she opens the book and finds him, her eyes light up and she gets a big smile on her face. Even when I showed her this picture she got the same look in her eyes...like "where have you been all my life." She also really digs his shoes and points to them often.

What is wrong with us?
I know I always complain about Hayden's photo taking skills, but I was dying tonight as I was trying to get a "good" picture of her. I swear when I look at her through the screen she looks so stink'n cute and then I snap and this is what comes out: Ok, this one is cute.
