4th of July

I think this was the first year ever that I wasn't in Blanding for the fourth. It was a little bitter-sweet, but we still managed to have great time in Happy Valley.
We started off the morning bright and early and headed to Provo to see the Hot Air balloons. Hayden loves balloons, so she thought the whole thing was pretty cool. We also got to see this helicopter take off from the hospital.
After the balloons we got ready for the day and ate a great pancake breakfast at Colin's parents.
Colin grew up in a neighborhood that celebrated the 4th with what they call "the culdasac of fire." The whole neighborhood gets together and has a big pot luck meal, then they have a little flag ceremony followed by fireworks. It was a lot of fun to be a part of this year.
