We just had our "Every Other Year Vacation Extravaganza." (although it has only been 18 months since our last one :) We went to California and had so much fun, the trip could not have gone any better!! Here are our pictures in no particular order.
This is the elemtary school she went to. Right on the beach...how cool would that be!!
Sorry about the blur. This is the house she grew up in...pretty much right on the beach. This house is worth about 2 millions dollars now.
My mom LOVES the beach and none of her kids are really that into it, so she is really happy to now have grandkids and in-laws that love it as much as her.
Dana Point
Sand Castle building competition
This was the only time I got in the water and the only reason I was in there was to save Carson.
He was not too thrilled about the waves knocking him over
Colin was quite the Boogie Boarder until.......
You will have to ask him what happened. :)
We spent the first two and half days in Newport. The beach was a little a chilly, but everyone still had fun.
We went to a place called Dana Point. The town is gorgeous and I could have spent the whole day walking around it, but everyone else wanted to go see sea creatures...that was cool too!!
The three lone boys playing in the rocks.
Everyone checking out a big fat sea slug, we also saw a huge Starfish that was pretty neat.
My Dad thinks we look just alike in this picture...Hayden is much cuter!! :)This is one of my favorite pictures.
Colin, my Mom, Myken, Brian and a few of the kids were the only ones brave enough to boogie board. It was pretty chilly and I am really not a huge fan of water, so I happily sat on blanket and observed. We were there for quite a few hours and there were dolphins swimming around the entire time. They were only about ten feet from the boogie boarders.
Getting ready for our first day a disnyland. If you want to know what our shirts mean, you will just have to ask me...to hard to explain in writing.
All the Single Ladies!!
Our whole group on the first day...everyone was pretty darn excited!!
The first characters we saw. The Mad Hatter was very rude.
The little girls patiently waiting in line to see the princesses.
Carson trying to cheer Brooklyn up!
We did a character breakfast at the PCH restaurant. It was a lot of fun.
Screamin' was the older girls favorite ride.
Getting ready for the Bugs Life movie. I highly suggest you see it if you are ever there. Both of my kids hated it, but I thought it was awesome.
The parade was another one of my favorites. We learned if you yell their names really loud they will turn and wave at you.
Luckily Shelly was willing to go on the teacups. I cant handle any sort of spinning.
These two taking their daily naps. Carson slept was better at Disneyland then he does at home.
Waiting for the Aladdin show to start...also another highlight.
You cant tell, but this is on Pirates of the Caribbean. He absolutely loved this ride and went on it 8 or 9 times.
Swimming at the pool.
We rented these bikes for an hour and laughed the entire time. I dont think I have laughed that hard in a long time. My family can make anything fun, competive and hilarious!!!!
The last day we spent the day relaxing at a park in Irvine. It was a really big nice park. We ate lunch, played at the playground, played football and Frisbee, rented the clown bikes and got Slurpees. What a great way to end an awesome vacation!!!
